I should be glad

All the things I could do had been done, now I'm ready to move to the next level. The big unknown scares the hell out of me, but I'll be ready, for this is my long-awaited future. How many times have I pictured myself living there and staring out the window to see the beautiful cityline? How many nights have I dreamt about going to endless gigs happening around the city? I'll report to you all when I'm there and living the dream, praying that it won't turn into a nightmare.

Back in Feburary, the British artist Lightspeed Champion (aka Devonté Hynes) released his second album Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You after a two year hiatus and throat surgery. Like his first album, Life Is Sweet! Nice To Meet You is full of catchy melodies and cute lyrics that was woven together with delicately intricate strings -- but without the simplicity and added way too much sophistication. At one time there are moments that are extremly beautiful and others that you really just wanted to flash foward. No denying that Dev have one of the most distingtive voice of the generation but when the instruments become too overwhelming, his voice would lost its peculiarity.
