People might be a bit disappointed about the fact that, unlike the previous album, MGMT's Congratulations is lack of singles that can stands out like 'KIDS' and 'Electric Feel.' Without the guaranteed popular elements, Congratulations still surprises me with amazing details and fun rythm. The opening song 'It's Working' keeps me wonder if I was really listenign to MGMT, and then the Beatles-like 'Someone's Missing' truly makes the next song 'Flash Delerium' worked and was blown away by the exploding power of the song. Every song seems like a new start and for me it's very MGMT; of course the sound is more mature, and of course it felt a bit different then the first time--maybe less dancey. As one of the most anticipated albums of the year, MGMT's Congratulations is a very pleasant and admirable piece of work.
