我常常會想,在我的葬禮上所要撥放的主題曲會是什麼呢?是我現在所喜歡的這些當代樂團還是我崇敬的老樂團?想了好久,我發現我還是希望這首歌可以是位女歌手所唱,這首歌就是Nico的These Days.會認識Nico當然是因為The Velvet Underground and Nico這張專輯,不過也是Nico的個人專輯Chelsea Girl 讓我想要更了解了她.其中的These Days這首歌的歌詞是無助且絕望般的對人生中失敗與挫折的懊悔,但在Nico的冷默唱腔與有點腔調的英文詮釋下卻又有了另外一種風情(據說這首歌是在作者Jackson Browne十六歲時寫的);這首歌用弦樂與長笛交疊的組合乍聽之下好像是首愉快的小品,這樣與歌詞的反插更是讓我留下深刻的印象.
