Arctic Monkeys live DVD released a few days ago, those of whom received the box set were all quite pleased. I'm still waiting for my copy(darn,why am I not in England!). Before Alex Turner end his affair with Miles Kane, this is the most we could get from the Monkeys!

Electric Arguments

1993年,Paul McCartney與製作人Youth以The Fireman的名義發行了有著electronic基礎的專輯Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest. 那個時期的Macca剛接觸電子舞曲,他和製作人Youth將電子原素結合到一段旋律之中,產生了令人驚奇的成果. 距離上一張專輯Rushes十年後, The Fireman要在11月發行Electric Arguments, 據說專輯中每首歌都在一天內錄完,分別花了一年當中的十三天. 第一首曝光的單曲"Nothing Too Much Just out of Sight"當中出現了與以往不同的明顯vocal,65歲的Macca狂野依舊!

17 days till the general election , the campaign for 2008 presidential race seems such a long journey. From the beginning of both party's primaries, I've been paying extra attention to the candidates and their policy since I'm old enough to vote in my country; I understand the power of the voters ,how politics works and why we should get involved instead of ignoring. This election is much more exciting and interesting due to the great invention that is "Youtube" and millions of blogs (over)analyzing the candidates' every words and every moves. But no matter how much I want Tina Fey to be the next president, all things must come to an end in 17 days.

Dead Confederate

So I've heard lots of talks about this band from Georgia called Dead Confederate, and this week on All Songs Considered finally have I got to know their music. Take their southern hard rock and add a little Grunge, a little Psychedelic and top it with the Thom-Yorke-like murmur and powerful howling of the lead-singer --and you have the amazingly rocking and beautiful sound of Dead Confederate. After this year's SXSW, Dead Confederate has become one of the hottest and most talked about bands in the US; their latest album Wrecking Ball is also a hot record of the moment. I'm so glad I've stumbled upon Dead Confederate, surly you will find them tremendously enjoyable.
