Excuses

So I've found a job, not related to music in any way and it's not a full-time job. Just an intern I am, a part-time one. Though the days of my "wanting to be part of the music world" was so far gone, there is no way that I could be astray from the things that I love the most. I know you can't find your dream job for just one try and you might have never find one,ever; but I'll have to learn how to turn the lemon into lemonade, which is to do my very best--all the time. Of course I'll keep on posting the music I care about, and I hope you'll like them as much. Cheers.

Crying Lightning

Crying Lightning is the first single from Arctic Monkeys' new album Humbug. I was totally amazed by their new sound, well, not exactly new but it's a bit different. Crying Lightning played out to be a dark song, with singer Alex's voice almost too posh to be him! Then the constant drum beat brought up to the enchanting lines :

"Your past times, consisted of the strange
And twisted and deranged
And I love that little game you had called
Crying Lightning"

I expect to see the crowd chanting like mad when it's perform live.
The part I love the most is the guitar solo in the later part of the song which is really a killer riff, how I hope the solo could be longer!

The Resistance

Muse announced the tracklist of their up-coming album The Resistance, it contained 11 songs in which there is a three-part symphony under the name of Exogenesis. Wonder what has Matt been exploring this time, can't wait to be blown away!

Arctic Monkeys @ Open'er festival

Arctic Monkeys was at Poland for Open'er festival yesterday, though there was a technical problem but all I can think of is the exciting new songs they played! Upon the 4 songs they played from the new album Humbug, my favorite is Secret Door. It makes me believe that the Monkeys still "got it," the almost-magical melodies and Alex's deep dramatic voice was so intriguing. The overall feeling of the new songs were a bit different from those of the older albums, is it darker? Or just more "grown-up"? I couldn't be sure until hearing the entire album, but I trust them. Whole-heartedly.

Finally, the graduation season is over. After all the sweltering and exalting turmoil of the commencement, what awaited the most of us is the cruel reality of unemployment. I'm not anhedonia is any ways but seeing so many friends heading toward a new place and starting a new life, my staying seems to be so worthless. However, I do cherish the moments I spent with my fellow classmates and how an inspiring role my university has played for me. If it wasn't that I've got the unlimited liberty to explored my interests, this blog wouldn't even exist and I probabaly won't get to know so many amazing bands. It will be a bloody new chapter, a terrifying new life; allow me to take a deep breathe and think clearing about all the possibilities.
Also a big thank you for all the friends who were watching this blog for so long, like I do have something to offer.THANK YOU!

West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum

Kasabian is fun--That's all I can say about them before listening to their new album. I like them because they seems like maniac sometimes ,they also created good riffs and Noel really loves them. In their new album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, I'd say it's the first time I genuinely like their music. Of course it's still fun and has that 'Brits swagger', but it's more funky, psychedelic and somehow less-polished. I was hooked upon hearing the opener Underdog, it's harsh and upbeat which brings out most of the songs' concept:lunacy. Most of the time you'll be spinning around in the great riffs and bass line(Fast Fuse, Fire), occasionally confused by the subtle sadness and sudden soaring. What makes West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum so enjoyable is how "Kasabian-esq" it is, no other bands could make a record quite like this. With their infamous energetic live performances, I could already picture the crowd chanting 'I’m on fire' with Tom the lead singer.
